Take the STOP-BANG Sleep Apnea Quiz
If you believe that you or a loved one may be suffering from sleep apnea, the first step to getting the appropriate treatment is a proper diagnosis. While there are numerous ways to begin this process, Dr. Robert Dernick likes to use one of the simplest and most direct: the STOP-BANG Assessment. It is actually an acronym for the most likely indicators that a person may be at risk for sleep apnea: Snoring, Tiredness, Observation, (Blood) Pressure—Body Mass, Age, Neck Size, and Gender. It is only 8 “Yes or No” questions, and it takes less than a minute to fill out. This will give us a basic understanding of a patient’s situation so we can get right to work meeting their needs.
After you have completed it, Dr. Dernick or one of our team members will contact you within 24 hours to review our findings, offer you information, and make recommendations for what you should do next. If you don’t hear from us within a day or so after submitting this assessment, or if you have any questions about it, please don’t hesitate to contact our team.
